More about Terry Flanagan

Peter van Oss - Senior Associate

Peter comes from a family with a “deep-rooted” passion for trees and horticulture. His great-grandfather was an arborist, and his grandfather owned a successful nursery, garden center, and a landscape outfit. He began working in the family business at age 12 and continued to follow in his family's footsteps by pursuing a college education in the field. An internship in the United States during his third year of college brought him to the Pacific Northwest, where he fell in love with the region and decided to relocate from the Netherlands after completing his BS degree in horticulture and landscape construction management. Peter has 13 years of field experience and has been working as a consulting arborist for the last 4 years. He’s an ISA Certified Arborist with Tree Risk Assessment Qualification and is a member of the American Society of Consulting Arborists.

Peter says, “Working with trees is unique in the sense that one is never done learning. The profession is new in comparison to other professions, and innovative studies are being done all the time. Trees are an integral part of our existence, and it is honorable to be able to work with trees and educate others about the importance of our symbiotic relationship with trees.”

Tom Feitl - Associate

Tom began his career as an arborist in 2015 in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, where he spent the first 5 years of his career before moving to the Pacific Northwest. Tom is an avid tree climber and enjoys climbing recreationally. In his free time, Tom can be found exploring the old growth forests of northern California, Oregon, and Washington, where he can observe the forest in its natural state. The only thing that he loves as much as trees is golf. Tom is an ISA Certified Arborist and ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified and boasts 8 years in the field.
